From the Mosser Road gate to the camp store

Double G started as Gerald and Helen Glotfelty's dairy farm. The barnyard is the park now.

Mosser Road

Half a mile off Route 219

Turn onto Mosser Road at the first traffic light on 219 and the park is half a mile along on the right. The gravel lane runs between full hook-up sites on mown grass, under the farm's old oaks.

The seasonal rows

Rigs that stay from May to October

Most of the park is seasonal sites and park models, kept by families who come back every summer. Lawn care comes with a seasonal site, so the rows stay tidy right through to the end of October.

The camp store

Ice, firewood and the green table

The camp store is the farm's old milking building. It sells ice, firewood, RV supplies and snacks, and keeps the green plastic table the family calls the place where family is made. Pizza goes on every Friday night in summer.

The pavilion

A sand court, a playground and a fire ring at every site

The pavilion, the sand volleyball court and the playground sit in the middle of the park. Back at the site there is a fire ring and a picnic table for the evening, and the bathhouse and laundry are a short walk away.

Do you offer more than weekend camping?

Families book a weekend, take a site for the whole season, keep the boat at D&W Storage on the same grounds, or buy a park model and settle in.

The office, the bathhouse and the quiet

The ladies running the office were over the top accommodating to us. We had leveling issues with a site due to our length and they moved us with no issues.

It started with a Saturday square dance

Dancers climbed to the loft of the Glotfelty barn on Saturday nights, then began bringing their campers and parking them in the barnyard. That was the start of the campground.

  1. Gerald and Helen

A dairy farm with trail rides, pony rides, hay rides and sleigh rides.

  2. Denny and Warren

Took over in the 1980s and started D&W Storage.

  3. Warren, Addie and Gesse

Run the park today and farm the hay, oats, corn and sunflowers.
